SIX RAMS NAMED ALL-CONFERENCE |
FORT WORTH, TX: The Red River Athletic Conference announced its men’s soccer All-Conference team, and six members of the Texas Wesleyan team (7-5-2, 4-3 RRAC) were among those honored.
Adam Pierce was named Co-Freshman of the Year with Huston-Tillotson University’s Oscar Ortez.
For the second straight year goalkeeper Joakim Soderbaum was named to the first team. Soderbaum posted five shutouts and a 1.32 goals against average.
Senior forward Christian Villasenor and junior defender Kevin Rauch joined Soderbaum on the first team.
Midfielders Charlie Torres and Adam Pierce along with defender Chamuquin Prince were 2nd-team selections.
Texas Wesleyan will host the RRAC tournament, November 6-8 at Martin Field. The fourth seeded Rams will take on fifth seeded Northwood in quarterfinal action at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. |
