FORT WORTH, TX: For the seventh time this season, Texas Wesleyan University Katlynn Romig has been named Red River Athletic Conference Volleyball Libero of the Week. Romig took the award for the period of November 3-9.
Romig, a freshman defensive specialist from Mansfield, TX, provided 52 digs in a 3-0 week for Texas Wesleyan. She had 25 digs in the 3-2 win over SAGU, and added 16 against Bacone. Romig committed only two receiving errors in 63 total attempts.
Texas Wesleyan finished the regular season playing their best volleyball of the season. They have won seven of their last ten and finished at 9-2 in conference play and 13-25 on the season.
SAGU’s Kelani Keoho was named Player of the Week while Samantha Mendez of Huston-Tillotson University (TX) claimed the Hitter of the Week award, and SAGU's Rachel Brown was named Setter of the Week. |
