SILOAM SPRINGS, AR: The Texas Wesleyan University women’s basketball team (0-3) suffered a 77-28 loss at John Brown University (4-0) on Monday.
John Brown started the game with an 11-2 run and never looked back. A 16-5 run to close the half made the score 45-15 at the break, and the Golden Eagles went on to win 77-28.
The Golden Eagles shot 42% from the field and grabbed an impressive 61 rebounds. Chelsea Garrison and Ashley Taylor led the way with 16 points each. Amber Vogts had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Brittany Davenport led the Rams with nine points and three assists.
The Rams will have time to recover from a murderous first three games that included a pair of ranked teams (#22 Southern Nazarene and #32 Oklahoma Christian. They will return to the court on Saturday, November 15, when they host Philander Smith College. That game is scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. start in the Sid Richardson Center. |
