and the outfield ... she was named first-team all-conference for
the second season in a row ... led the team for the second straight
season with a .364 batting average ... also was tops on the team
with 15 doubles and 38 RBIs ... finished the season going 7-for-9
in stolen base attempts ... hit .444 with runners in scoring position
... went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and a season-high four RBI
in a victory over Howard Payne (3/25-2) ... stole a season-high
two bases versus conference-rival Northwood (3/30-2) and Texas College
(5/7) ... registered a home run and three RBI in a victory over
Texas College (4/20-2).
2003: Started all 42 games for the Lady Rams at second base
... led the team with a .354 batting average and 46 hits while producing
12 doubles and 23 RBI in 130 at-bats on her way to being named co-conference
player of the year and first-team all-conference ... went 3-for-4
with three doubles and three RBI in a 5-4 victory over Bacone College
(3/28-1) ... hit her only home run of the season while registering
three RBI at Hillsdale Baptist (4/1-2) ... tallied two runs scored
and two RBI, while going 3-for-5 versus UT-Permian Basin (4/9-1).
Prior to Wesleyan: A one-year letterwinner for Don Sheppard
at Mary-Hardin Baylor ... played in 33 games, starting 27 of them
at second base for the Lady Crusaders ... hit .253 with 11 runs,
21 hits, six doubles, one home run and 17 RBI in 83 at-bats ...
help lead team to a 25-17 record and a third place finish at the
American Southwest Conference tournament.
Prep: A two-year letterwinner for Glenda Kramer at Mansfield
High School ... named honorable mention all-conference in both her
junior and senior seasons ... she was also named Who's Who Among
American High School Students.
