2 to 3 p.m.

This course introduces individuals charged with website maintenance to the concepts, terminology, and tools needed to manage departmental websites.
Instructional and Personal Website Development II

Monday, April 7

2 to 4 p.m.

This session will follow up on intermediate levels of design and implementation of personal and professional web pages. This is NOT for managing institutional pages which requires the use of Contribute. It is presumed that one has completed the first classes on this topic or has an equivalent level of experience.
Power Point - Microsoft's Presentation Software

Wednesday, April 9

10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

While you should also see our other workshops on MS Office beginning next fall, there have been specific requests for this PowerPoint class.  After quickly covering the basic techniques of the tool for easy, high-quality presentations, we will explore custom animation and screen transitions for maximizing appearance and effect.  Advanced uses of timing and sequencing will be introduced.  Recommended: take the Graphics Development class first.

Searching and Researching

Thursday, April 17

12 to 1 p.m.

Tools used in research are evolving, changing, and stretching to meet the needs of their users. Our library alone has over 100 databases and online tools for verifiable research. This course is intended to refine skills professors need for detailed academic research, to learn a few tricks, and to discover our newest research tools available at Texas Wesleyan.
Basic Terminology, Concepts, and Operations

Wednesday, April 23

1 to 2 p.m.

This is a step above the basics covered in the first graphics workshop. This intermediate level will focus on ways to capture and build graphic imagery and photo editing.
