The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) supports the mission of the University by providing educational resources, instructional innovation, and professional growth opportunities to faculty to improve teaching practices and the educational experiences of Texas Wesleyan University students.
Last year, Professor John Murphy looked for innovative instructional tools and strategies to engage students in his legal research and writing courses. He began by using Google Docs, an online collaborative writing tool to provide students with real-time feedback on their in-class group writing activities. This year, Professor Murphy added a couple of short YouTube videos to his Legal Research class to help students grasp research techniques more fully.
