Chelsey R. Lewis and Dania A. Rodriguez presented a paper at the 234th American Chemical Society National Meeting (August 20, 2007) in Boston, MA.  Sponsored by Dr. Ricardo E. Rodriguez, the accepted paper (#356) “Texas Wesleyan University Summer Science Camp: Enhancing College Awareness", was presented as part of the Division of Chemical Education Successful Student Affiliates Chapters program poster presentation.  The 2- hour poster presentation had over 2000 chemists in attendance.  Chelsey R. Lewis (Crowley High School senior) has worked with Dr. Ricardo E. Rodriguez as part of the Chemistry Camp for Kids community outreach program for the last 3-years and is the author of the Chemistry Camp blog.   Dania A. Rodriguez has been involved with Chemistry Camp numerous years and is a Crowley High School junior.

Both Lewis and D. Rodriguez also attended the workshop “Many Faces of Chemistry: The Merck Index Women in Chemistry Award Symposium” and “Making Your Brand.”
