FIVE WESLEYAN PROFESSORS RECEIVE SAM TAYLOR FELLOWSHIP AWARDS
Five Texas Wesleyan faculty members received Sam
Taylor Fellowship awards, granted through the General
Board of Higher Education & Ministry of The United
Methodist Church. The will of the late Sam Taylor
set aside income from a portion of his estate to fund
continuing education and development of faculty
members at United Methodist-related colleges and
universities in Texas. The awards received by Texas
Wesleyan faculty totaled nearly $6,700.
Jay Brown, assistant professor of psychology, will use the funds to conduct research on various measures of religiosity and levels of self-control. |
Rodney Erakovich, assistant professor of public administration and management, will continue research in collaboration with Western and Eastern European universities in organizational integrity building in Eastern Europe through managing by values congruent with societal and democratic values. |
Lori Dieckmann, assistant professor of chemistry, will use the funds to defray tuition costs of graduate coursework in chemistry at the University of North Texas. |
Kimberly Webb, assistant professor of accounting, will use the award to aid in the cost of tuition and books for her graduate study leading to a PhD in Business Administration in accounting at the University of Texas at Arlington. |

Stacia Neeley, associate professor of English, will participate in graduate coursework in education through Goucher College focusing on strategies for empowering students to become active, responsible learners. |
