PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE ALAN KEYES TO SPEAK AT TEXAS WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY John McCain and Mike Huckabee aren't the only GOP presidential candidates in town this week - Alan Keyes is making a few Fort Worth stops as part of a campaign swing through Texas prior to the March 4 primary. Keyes will speak at Texas Wesleyan University at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 29. Alan Keyes spent 11 years with the U.S. State Department. He served in the U.S. Foreign Service and on the staff of the National Security Council before becoming Ronald Reagan's Assistant Secretary of State for International Organizations (1985-88). In the interim, from 1983 to 1985, he served as ambassador to the United Nations Economic and Social Council, where he represented America's sovereign interests in the U.N. General Assembly. This is his third run for the U.S. Presidency. The Texas Wesleyan College Republicans are hosting the event, which will begin at 12 p.m. with regular club business and a light lunch.
