DOCTORATE IN NURSE ANESTHESIA PRACTICE DEGREE PROGRAM BEGINS Twenty students will begin classes this fall in Texas Wesleyan's new doctorate in nurse anesthesia practice (DNAP) program. The program, accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA), is the first DNAP program accredited by the COA in the state of Texas and only the third accredited DNAP program in the nation. The program is a collaborative effort between Texas Wesleyan University’s Graduate Programs of Nurse Anesthesia and the Graduate School of Business, and is the first doctorate-level degree offered from the Historic Campus (a Juris Doctor degree is offered at the downtown Fort Worth campus). The online format, without an on-campus component, will enable applicants from out of the area, including servicemen and women stationed overseas, to access the program and achieve their educational goals. Texas Wesleyan's Graduate Programs of Nurse Anesthesia also offer a Master of Science in nurse anesthesia and a Master of Health Science. Additional information can be found at www.txwes.edu/nurseanesthesia or through the Graduate Programs of Nurse Anesthesia office at (817) 531-4406.
