Texas Wesleyan University Press, established earlier this year, has published its inaugural book: Days of a Chameleon: Collected Poems. The collection of poems by Jeffrey DeLotto, professor of English at Texas Wesleyan, features several previously published works as well as new ones.

DeLotto will sign copies of the book at a reception from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, in the Louella Baker Martin Pavilion, located at 1112 Wesleyan St., Fort Worth.

“The University has published academic and literary journals before, but never under a university press,” said Allen Henderson, provost and senior vice president at Texas Wesleyan. “The University Press fulfills one of our strategic goals: to encourage publication by the faculty.”

Texas Wesleyan University Press, in conjunction with Xlibris, a print-on-demand publishing house, will publish all types of manuscripts, including scholarly, creative, or community interest works. “It’s an opportunity for the university community and the community at large to have a new publishing venue with a manageable risk and expense to the University,” DeLotto said.

Visit www.xlibris.com/DaysofaChameleon:CollectedPoems.html for ordering information. Copies of the book will also be available for sale at the reception.

For more information about the book signing, call 817-531-4401.
