WIND ENSEMBLE, CHAMBER MUSIC MARCH 1 AND 2 WITH WESLEYAN MUSIC The month of March for Wesleyan Music begins with two concerts in Martin Hall on March 1 and 2. The first, the Wesleyan Honors Wind Symphony, will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 1, and will feature the Texas Wesleyan Wind Ensemble and high school students from Fort Worth area schools. The performance will include music by Percy Grainger, Anton Bruckner, Heitor Villa-Lobos, and Wesleyan assistant music professor Bryan English. John Fisher, professor of music, Jessica Koebbe, piano instructor, and four members of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchesta will present an evening of chamber music at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 2. Koebbe will collaborate with two players - a violinist and cellist - from the FWSO in a performance of the Piano Trio in G Major, K. 564, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Fisher will join a quartet of string players from the same ensemble in a presentation of the Piano Quintet in D Minor, Op. 89 by Gabriel Faure. Both performances are free and open to the public. Martin Hall is located in the Ann Waggoner Fine Arts Building, 1309 Wesleyan St. For more information about Wesleyan Music, click here.
