THEATRE WESLEYAN PRESENTS THE 54TH ANNUAL SPRING MUSICAL LITTLE ME

Publicity photo from LIttle MeTheatre Wesleyan continues its long history of musical production with the 54th Annual Spring Musical Little Me at 7:30 p.m. April 10-12 and 17-19 and at 2 p.m. April 13 and 20. Little Me features music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Carolyn Leigh and book by Neil Simon. The musical Little Me is based on the novel by Patrick Dennis, Little Me, The Intimate Memoirs of that Great Star of Stage, Screen and Television/Belle Poitrine. In this musical comedy, Belle Poitrine tells the story of her quest for wealth, culture, and social position through her intimate memoirs. In each adventure, Belle is accompanied by an admiring male who helps bring her one step closer to achieving her goals.

Little Me is directed and choreographed by guest artist Joel Ferrell with musical direction by Aimee Hurst. The cast includes Alaina Appleby, senior theatre major, and Whitney Park, junior theatre major, sharing the role of Belle Poitrine; also included in the cast are Dillon Maroney, Ben Phillips, Chase Burnett, Rob Carroll, Erica Heebner, Ashley Moseley, Kayla Bland and Joy Millard. The design team includes scenery by assistant professor of theatre Bryan Stevenson, lighting by Bryan Stevenson and junior theatre major Max Marquez, sound design by sophomore theatre major Wesley Frazier, costumes by theatre instructor Brynn Bristol and junior theatre major Kelly Henry, graphics by junior theatre major Dillon Maroney, and properties by sophomore theatre major Cari Watson. Stage manager is junior theatre major A’nie Kirchner with assistance by junior theatre major Alfredo Martinez. Senior theatre major Eric Briggs serves as house manager. Erica Heebner, BA '07, is assistant production manager and professor of theatre Connie Whitt-Lambert is production coordinator.

The Theatre Wesleyan Box Office can be reached at (817) 531-4211 Tuesday through Friday from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Tickets are $12 for general admission, $6 for Texas Wesleyan faculty and staff and $5 for all students with ID. There is also a limited number of special table seating available. Tickets to the Saturday performance on April 19 are available only through the Texas Wesleyan Alumni Office (817-531-4404). Tickets can be reserved by calling 817-531-4211 or emailing the Theatre Box Office at eheebner@txwes.edu. The Thad Smotherman Theatre is located in the Law Sone Fine Arts Building, 1205 Binkley St., Fort Worth.
