The 7th-graders who are attending are part of the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) Program. The two-day camp – which focuses on chemistry, computer science and team building – is an initiative of the East Area Council of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Ricardo E. Rodriguez, professor of chemistry, will lead two sessions on chemistry.
