TEXAS WESLEYAN BASEBALL, BASKETBALL TO HOLD OPEN TRYOUTS

The Texas Wesleyan University baseball and basketball teams will hold open tryouts this Saturday, May 19. The baseball team will also hold open tryouts on the next three Saturdays, May 26, June 2, and June 9. The Texas Wesleyan baseball team finished the season ranked 13th nationally with a record of 41-10. They were ranked as high as 8th in the nation, won their first Red River Athletic Conference Championship and reached the NAIA Region VI finals.After winning the 2006 NAIA Division I National Championship, the Texas Wesleyan basketball team posted a 20-10 record and were ranked 33rd nationally at the end of the 2007 season.
