TEXAS WESLEYAN TABLE TENNIS VIES FOR FIFTH CONSECUTIVE CHAMPIONSHIP The Texas Wesleyan table tennis team is in Rochester, Minn., this weekend hoping to clinch their fifth consecutive co-ed national championship. Last year, the Rams swept all seven titles at the 2007 ACUI/NCTTA National Collegiate Table Tennis Championships. You can follow the results as the 2008 ACUI/NCTTA National Collegiate Table Tennis Championships gets underway on Friday, April 11, by visiting the National Collegiate Table Tennis Association's results page. A recent article in the St. Paul Pioneer Press called Texas Wesleyan the "odds-on favorite" to win. Among the Texas Wesleyan players to compete is graduate education student and head coach Jasna Reed. She'll be competing for her third consecutive singles, mixed doubles and women's doubles titles. This year, she'll compete with Carlos Chiu for the mixed doubles title and Ines Perhoc for women's doubles. A four-time Olympian, Reed competed for Yugoslavia and won a bronze medal in women’s doubles at the Games in Seoul. She became a U.S. citizen in 1999 and competed for the U.S. Olympic Team in 2000 and 2004. Online: Texas Wesleyan Table Tennis
