UNIVERSITY COLLEGE DAY: TUESDAY, APRIL 1
D'Ann Petersen, regional economist for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, will be the keynote speaker for University College Day at Texas Wesleyan University. Petersen will give the keynote address at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, in Martin Hall. The address is free and open to the public.
University College Day celebrates the scholarly activity of students and faculty by providing them with the opportunity to take part in presentations, panel discussions, art projects and multi-disciplinary events. Presentations and discussions will take place from 10:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Eunice and James L. West Library orientation room and gallery and may include a variety of topics: literature, science, math, social studies or even theater or music. The sessions are free and open to the public. Petersen's duties with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas include analyzing regional economic conditions and conducting in-depth research on topics important to the Texas economy. She publishes research finding in the Southwest Economy, business journals, and other publications. Petersen earned a Bachelor of Science in economics from Texas A&M University and a Master of Arts in applied economics from Southern Methodist University.
