Marie Glick Celebrates 100th Birthday Glick has been part of the campus community since 1938, when she married Dr. Walter Glick, dean of the college. She still lives on campus today - in an apartment on Rosedale. At 100, she remains active, handling her own finances, exercising daily, and gardening. Over the years, she has given generously to the university (often anonymously) and that includes donating the home she shared with her husband - now known as the Glick House. In November, it was dedicated as the Glick House Community Counseling Center, which will provide counseling for mental health, addiction, marriage and family concerns, and more. Glick, who holds a BBA and an MBA from the University of Texas, served in positions of teacher and principal at the Masonic Home High School from 1933 to 1974. In 1961, she took a trip around the world. During a two-year stay in Germany in the 1940s, Glick taught at the U.S. Army Dependents School. She was named Honorary Alumna of the Year in 2002 by the Texas Wesleyan Alumni Association.
