In the News
Lorie Patch, a senior BBA/MBA student at Texas Wesleyan, was profiled in the August newsletter for the Fort Worth Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Patch talked about how her interest in accounting began: “I was given my first position as a bookkeeper in January of 1997. I had no idea, at the time, how crazy accounting offices are in January. I learned very quickly how to deal with the craziness, and quickly fell in love with accounting." Patch is president of the Texas Wesleyan University Accounting Society.
Teresa Nelson, BBA '93, was featured in the Aug. 13 edition of The Fort Worth Business Press. Nelson, who owns Teresa's Treasures, has won numerous awards for her gift basket business. To read the Business Press article, click here.
