Match Support

The main goal of the Match Support System (MSS) is to ensure that communication and interaction between mentors and freshmen flow efficiently and effectively. As a result, the incoming freshmen are properly served and the mentor volunteers are not overwhelmed.

The MSS staff serves to remind the mentor volunteers of their commitments, of important dates (such as registration, advising and birthdays) that freshman need be informed of and to simply check the progress of their matches. They will endeavor to maintain current contact lists of both the participating freshmen and the volunteer mentors. The MSS staff will also provide the mentors with an, which will include a list of causal activities that the match could do on campus or around town at little to no cost for their informal meetings. The MSS staff will continue revise this list and will seek outside donor activity idea sheet support in providing free or discounted activities and entertainment.
