The mission of Phi Alpha Theta, the History Honor Society, is to promote the study of history through the encouragement of research, good teaching, publication and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians.
The Texas Wesleyan Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta holds an initiation ceremony each semester for qualified students. Students must have an overall grade point average of 3.0, a minimum of 12 hours in History, and better than a 3.0 in the history courses.
