The Study of General Business
Administration
- According to a recent report in Business Week, the current average salary for a general business administration major is $41,994/year.
- A general business education offers students a wide range of career opportunities in the business world.
- Some companies prefer students with specialized knowledge in an area, while others prefer students with a broad understanding of business concepts who are subsequently trained by the company in a specific area, such as marketing, human resources, or finance. Based on their individual interest in specific or broad preparation, a student can design his/her general business degree plan to meet their needs.
- If your goal is to become a manager, to move up the corporate ladder, or to start your own business, you will need to have great communication skills, ability to think critically, analytically, and conceptually, ability to lead and motivate employees to achieve a common goal, and the ability to make decisions that will benefit your organization.
