International Club

International Club

Texas Wesleyan has an active, supportive group of international students.  Most students belong to the International Club.  The International Club activities include monthly meetings, fundraising, service to the university, and several field trips (to professional sports games and cultural and entertainment sites).  Members also act as hosts during the International Week activities and prepare displays and food for the International Fair.  The club is an organization for both international and American students to develop understanding and friendships while enjoying fun activities.  The club is designed as a way to ease the transition for those students attending Texas Wesleyan College from foreign countries.  American students benefit from learning more about the cultures from other parts of the world.  The International Club acts as a social and support group for the students and as a service group to the campus.

International Week

International Week is held once an academic year to raise awareness of and create an appreciation for international diversity.  The entire campus participates in activities that include:  professional entertainment from an international group, academic programs with international focus, international films, booths which promote cultural understanding, and a sports event.  The highlight of the week is the International Fair, which is prepared by the international students and gives the university community a chance to taste food from different countries, see exhibits of different cultures, and hear and dance to international music.  This week is intended to enrich and broaden the lives of the students, faculty and staff.
