Technology purchase requests may be initiated by school or departmental administrators, through the approved School or Departmental Initiator. Technology purchase requests should address needs identified in the School or Departmental Technology Strategic Plan and be funded under the current approved School or Departmental budget for technology.

Consulting
IT provides consultation services to TW employees and departments considering the purchase of technology for professional use.

Unapproved Purchases
IT does not provide installation or support for privately-owned technology or technology purchases that do not proceed through the appropriate approval process (ex., credit card purchases, unapproved grant purchases, etc.).
Personal Hardware Purchasing Program
TW employees are eligible to purchase University Standard desktop and notebook computers at discounted prices through an agreement with Dell Incorporated.

Personal Software Acquisition Program
TW employees are eligible to receive one license for Microsoft Office 2003 software suite for use on an employee-owned computer at minimal cost through an agreement with the Microsoft Corporation.
To request a Work At Home copy of Microsoft Office 2003, complete and submit the Microsoft Work At Home Rights form.
This software package is compatible with Windows 2000 SP3 or above and Windows XP Operating Systems. Be sure to check your computer's operating system before attempting an installation. |
