President's Vision Statement

Texas Wesleyan University aspires to become the pre-eminent comprehensive University of choice in North Texas.  We shall focus our teaching resources on delivering an undergraduate curriculum and select graduate programs to an optimum enrollment of 3,500 students.  We envision Texas Wesleyan University as unequivocally committed to student success.  This means we shall attract and retain gifted teachers and scholars as faculties.  We shall continually improve campus academic facilities, student housing and recreational programs, academic counseling, and career placement services.  Above all, we shall strive to contain cost and increase access to students capable of persisting toward a degree. Our aspiration to become the pre-eminent, comprehensive University of choice is within reach.  It will require quality planning, strengthening core academic disciplines, introducing new programs of study, enriching student life on campus, and long-term capital investment.  Achieving this goal will require the best that we possess: dogged persistence, mutual support, loyalty, and trust.
