Admission Requirements

The student should meet the following criteria:

1.  General admission requirements to the University

All of the following information must be completed and submitted before an admission decision can be made.

  • Application for Undergraduate Admission 
  • Official High School Transcript or GED scores if college work is fewer than 30 semester hrs.
  • Official SAT or ACT score if age 25 or younger with fewer than 30 semester hrs.
  • $25 Non-refundable Application Fee
  • Picture of Applicant (Optional)

 

2.  One of the following:

a.      Completion of Texas Wesleyan’s general education curriculum (with the exception of HUM 2340 or 2341, and one Religion) OR

b.      Near completion of the general education curriculum (catalog pages 88-91) OR

c.      Completion of an Associate of Arts degree

Students who have completed a significant portion of the general education curriculum (GEC) may request to be admitted provisionally. Such requests should be directed to the Weekend/Evening Program Director, Dr. Karen Hodges, 817-531-4928.

To apply to the Weekend/Evening Program, students must complete an application for admission to the University and be accepted.

Application Process

The C. E. Hyde WE/Evening Program is designed primarily for individuals who have completed General Education Courses or have earned an Associate of Arts degree from a community college.  Working professionals seeking to broaden their skills and enhance their promotability will find the weekend/evening/online schedule compatible with their goals for job, family, recreation, personal interests AND school.
